after some feedback from sean, this is the end result.
next, I'll be designing the pilot.

playing with the shapes and stuff a bit more. different possible directions. I want the pilot to sit in a modular removable capsule, drawing influences from spacecraft.

edit: I put together the elements that were going in the direction I wanted. This is pretty much my final design.
